Changing Woman (Asdzáá nádleehé) on Navajo-intiaanien legendoissa arvostettu jumalatar. Legendan mukaan hän ei koskaan kuole. Hänestä tulee vanha talvisin, mutta kevään tullen hän muuttuu jälleen nuoreksi naiseksi. Hän on muutoksen, elämänvoiman, vuodenaikojen ja hedelmällisyyden jumalatar.
Näyttelyssäni käsittelen samoja teemoja. Muutoksia joita elämässä kohtaamme ja miten ne vaikuttavat elämäämme. Kohtaamme kuolemaa, elämistä, henkilökohtaista muuttumista ja olosuhteiden muuttumista. Sisältäpäin lähtenyt muutos heijastuu myös ympäristöön aiheuttaen muutoksen aallon lähipiirissämme. Näin muutos ei ole koskaan yksinään olemassa, sillä on aina heijasteensa ympäristössään. Loppuhuipennuksena tässä näyttelyni muutosten sarjassa on uudelleensyntyminen, uusi kevät, syvempi ymmärrys elämästä ja sen tarkoituksesta.
Changing Woman (Asdzáá nádleehé) is a respected goddess on the legends of the Navajo people. According to the legends she never dies. She grows old in winter time but by spring she becomes a young woman again. She is the goddess of change, life force, changing seasons and fertility.
The same themes occur in my exhibition. The changes we face in our lives and how they have an affect on our lives. We face death and living. We may change personally or our surroundings may change. Change coming from inside has also an affect on our friends and on the people we meet. By so the change never exists alone but always has a reflection to ones surrounding environment. On the peak of this process of changes in my exhibition is rebirth, a new spring and a deeper level of understanding of life and its purpose.
